Last night, after putting Augie down, I heard him talking outside of his room. He didn't seem to be calling for me, but I thought he might've said he had a problem (he's used that one before), so I went upstairs. Rather then dashing back into bed like he usually does when I come up, he stayed in the doorway.
"What's the problem, kiddo?"
"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to the cat."
"What were saying to the cat?"
"I was telling him about cars and trucks."
Further questioning revealed that Nikko had pushed the door open a little bit, and then Augie opened it the rest of the way. And Nikko was indeed in his room when I went up there.

Before that, when I was putting him down, he asked if tomorrow was a 'cool day. When I said yes, he started whining:
"But it will be too yonnnnnng until I come hoooome"
"No, it'll only be 3 hours and then I'll pick you up"
"It will be too yonnnng until I'm a mannnnnn"
"Well, that's ok because being a boy is great"
"No, it's noooooot. Being a boy is booooring."
