She is clutching it in the morning when we get her from her crib and she basically never wants to let it go. We just bought a 2nd one so we'd have a backup. She doesn't want to let it go so you can get her arm in car seat straps. She doesn't want to let it go to get dressed. She definitely goes without it some during the day when she's playing, but the amount of time that dog is tucked under her arm is measured in hours.
But she also loves ALL dogs. Last night, I put her on Augie's top bunk, which is a sea of stuffed animals. Every time I presented her with a dog, she would grab it and hug it. Every time I presented her with a non-dog animal, she looked at it, and then ignored it. It was amazing. Unicorn, elephant, triceratops, shark: nothing. But dog after dog after dog got a big hug. It was the sweetest thing ever. The only dog that didn't get a hug was Pluto. So I guess she is only into realistic dogs.
