He Likes It!

Augie finally started liking Ellie today. It may have begun when she was sucking on his Bla-Bla stuffed animal. He played with her, squeezed her thighs (which he said were huge), and kissed her hand at the end of the 20-second timeout he gave her for kicking. The best, though (for him and us) was that she actually laughed at him. Until today, she had only laughed at being touched/tickled. But Augie got in her face and said "Luci-fee, luci-fee, luci-fee" (which is what the mice call the cat Lucifer in Cinderella) and she laughed. Every time. Over and over again. Deb and I did it ourselves and, at best, she would smirk. But every time Augie did it, she laughed or cooed. It was amazing. And at the end of the night, this happened:

Deb: So Augie, did you have fun playing with Ellie today?
Augie: Mmm-hmm
Deb: Yeah? It was fun to play with her?
Augie: Mmm-hmm
Deb: Do you like her now?
Augie: Mmm-hmm
Deb: So we shouldn't give her way
Augie: Mmm-mm.

Of note, I (Steve) started liking her about 2 days ago, so we're basically on the same page
